Spring

Except for some rain and wind on Sunday, the weather has been super this week.  It's been a crazy, crazy week.  Photo shoots on both Saturday and Sunday, dinner with my very good friend, Amy, who will be moving to D.C. next month and then to top it all off, a 90th Birthday party on Sunday afternoon.  Couldn't miss that.  It was great to spend time with friends this weekend!  However, I'm ready for some rest.

Back to quilting this coming weekend.  Have a great day!

An Irish Blessing

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

(Traditional Irish Blessing; origin unknown, although some attribute it to St. Patrick.)

Happy St. Patrick's Day Everyone!

Errands and NFL Cheerleader Tryouts

Sorry I've been absent.  We had a very busy Saturday getting our eyes checked and new glasses ordered followed by ROAR tryouts on Sunday.  No, I did not tryout in case you're wondering.  LOL!  I help with auditions and my very talented hubby takes the pictures.  Back to sewing hopefully tonight!

Quilt Progress

For the last 2 nights I've been putting together the extra blocks needed for Bonita's quilt.  I think I've found a wedding embroidery that I like but I need to do a test stitch-out to be sure.  I'll stop at the quilt shop on Saturday to get new thread since I can't seem to make it over after work by the time they close.

Ok, pretty boring but that's the update!    Have a great day!

Weather and Bottlenoses

We've had THE best weather the last few days.  On Saturday it was supposed to be a high of 70 so DVS and I headed down to Marineland to see what the bottlenoses were up to these days.  The last time we were there, last April, there was a baby named Aqe.  He was a very curious little fellow.  He swam by several times and then must have decided that I looked like I would make a very good plaything.

Show off - I can't stand on my tail and blow bubbles.

We also tried to get a peek at Nellie (who we are told is semi-retired).  At the wonderful age of 57 this year, she is the oldest known bottlenose.  Considering the average life span of a dolphin is 25 to 30 years, Nellie is a miracle. Wow!

What a great day.

Birdo

Rest In Peace my little boy.  You brought us many, many years of joy.  We love you.
